Shaheed Salmon

Bio

A proud alumnus of Land O’ Lakes High School, Coach Shaheed Salmon returns to his alma mater with a wealth of playing experience and a deep passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the field. A four year letterman and a 2014 graduate, he was a standout player for the Gators, earning First Team All-Conference, First Team All-County, and Third Team All-State honors during his high school career.
Following his success at Land O’ Lakes, Coach Shaheed continued his football journey at Samford University, where he quickly made an impact. As a freshman, he earned Freshman All-SoCon honors. He went on to achieve First Team All-SoCon recognition as a junior and capped off his collegiate career with First Team All-SoCon and Second Team All-American honors as a senior.
After college, Coach Shaheed pursued a professional playing career, signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent in 2018. He continued his career across multiple professional leagues, including time with the Birmingham Iron (AAF), Ottawa Redblacks (CFL, 2019–2022), New Orleans Breakers (USFL), Memphis Showboats (USFL), and Calgary Stampeders (CFL).
Now back at Land O’ Lakes High School, Coach Shaheed is committed to giving back to the program that helped shape his journey. He brings firsthand knowledge of what it takes to compete at the highest levels and is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of student-athletes in both football and life.
