Bio

A proud 2015 graduate of Land O' Lakes High School, Coach Wells returned to his alma mater with a deep passion for developing the next generation of Gators football players.

As a three-year letterman and starting wide receiver, he left his mark on the program by leading the team in receiving yards during his senior season. His experience as a player gives him a unique understanding of what it takes to succeed at the position — from route running and hands to body control and competitive mindset.

After graduation, Coach Wells followed in his father’s footsteps and entered the electrical trade. He spent several years honing his skills with his father and various electrical companies before launching his own successful electrical business. His journey taught him the value of hard work, discipline, attention to detail, and leadership — qualities he now brings to the coaching staff every day.

Coach Wells always dreamed of giving back to the program that shaped him. When Coach Goodspeed and Coach Hendrix offered him the opportunity to join the staff as the Wide Receivers Coach, he knew it was the perfect chance to pour into the young men at Land O' Lakes the same way his coaches once did for him.

He is excited to help develop skilled, confident, and disciplined wide receivers who will make an impact both on the field and in life.
